my favorite photo --> http://vayievcmd.multiply.com/photos/album/56/Lomo_Mode_Thailand_2009_Holga_GCFN#photo=1

reasons why this is my favorite lomo shot from all lomo shots taken :
1) taken using my first ever lomo cam - a sky blue Holga GCFN
2) taken at my favorite destinition in the world - THAILAND :), and...
3) it was my first time to experience the Floating Market at that time - I was beyond excited and happy to be there :)

this is my favorite photo because it's actually a shot of one of my favorite persons: Ely Buendia (well, more of his Squier Fender guitar, haha) taken at one of favorite hangouts (Saguijo), and i didn't PP the photo, i just kinda got crazy with my Fisheye2's bulb mode. :-)

Taken by my first Holga 120 GCFN. Christmas time, year 2009. No PP whatsoever.

I love this photo because it represents the two favorite men in my life: my dad and my brother. I love the contrast of colors and how the photo bridges the gap between two direct generations into one beautiful picture.

cloud-gazing is one of my favorite pastimes, so being this close to the sky instantly turns me into an excited little girl. the clouds in the picture look so fluffy & compact that it makes me want to roll around in it! it looks like every bit of heaven, & looking at this never fails to make me happy & give me that feeling of hope.

these are two of my favs photo i've taken. the first one i just love it. the hue makes it more beautiful and that place for me is so special. it makes a perfect background pic.

the 2nd photo i've taken randomly that i didn't know what to expect to what it's gonna be look like. but after i saw it, it just blew my mind. the sun became color pink, which is my fave color, and the rest just silhoutte. at that time i took that pic, i'm really down and sad, that pic is somelike a message for me that, don't be sad, everything will be alright, even in darkness there's still light. and that pic became so important to me coz it inspire me to go on and have fun.

My favorite shot of my favorite dog, Basti...in a kinda silly position :)

This is my 2nd attempt with "Sprockets" using my Holga 120 CFN (purchased from Jennie, January 2008), which I modified (or perhaps hacked?) to fit a 35mm film.

My first try was a failure. The people from the photo developing center didn't understand my instructions to include the sprockets. The sprockets were missing but sadly, I still have to pay for the photos.

So, I researched about film scanning. Following some experiments found in Youtube, I did my 2nd attempt. I only requested for the film negatives this time. My dad made me a custom-built lightbox using plexiglass. Using my DSLR, I took a photo of each cell in the negative on top of the lightbox. I opened the shots I took in Adobe Photoshop, "Inverted" the photo, et voila! Sprockets rules!

You may see the complete "Sprockets" set and other lomo photos at http://celluloid.phutie.com

Why do I love it?
1. This photo serves as a simple reminder for me to always "LOOK UP". :)
2. Out of my very first roll of 24 shots, this is one of the lucky 5 that made it on print! Don't ask what happened to the other 19... Haha.

reasons:
1. took this photo using my favorite Kamen Rider Decade Blackbird Fly Camera
2. the falls was so beautiful
3. this always reminds me of my 1st ever out of town trip by myself only!

1) well, this is the first photo i took just right after i got my diana f+ which is really good photo ( for me, at least)
2) i like how only half of my dog's face is seen.. its not like any other dog's face. it's an english bulldog's flat face!
3) seeing only half of her face makes the photo more mysterious and dramatic at the same time.
4) plus, the color, texture and lighting of the photo makes it look really vintage (i looove vintage!)

I couldn't decide which of these two, so I'll post both of them. Both shot with a Holga camera (from Jennie!)

http://rommelj.multiply.com/photos/album/68/Lomo_Noche_Buena#photo=5

I like this one because I think it looked cool when I first saw the print. The composition and the double exposure treatment came out surprisingly okay. So much so that it looks like I really planned the whole thing.

http://rommelj.multiply.com/photos/album/65/Lomo_Lantern_Parade#photo=4

This one was taken during the UP Lantern Parade and I like it because it feels so surreal and dreamy (nightmarish?). I think it was taken at night using the Holga's color flash.

This is one of my first shots with my first lomo, a Holga 120N which I bought from you actually. It's my favourite photo of my best friend, Marga, and probably my favourite lomo shot ever because I think it really captures who she is-- outrageous and loud to everyone else, but, deep down, fragile and imperfect.

this is my favorite lomo shot (taken by the golden half chelsea) because even though all you see are cages and locks, it still feels light and gives me reason to keep hoping for the better. :)

this is one of my shots using Gakken flex TRL (my first on only camera. haha) with fuji sensia 200iso (my first test roll). I like this shot because believe it or not, it was just in our backyard. I got out from the house, jumped across the wall, sneak behind the grass.. and then poof! it became an ant's view of a tall gigantic grass! HAHA!
It's amazing how Gakken flex turns the 'unnoticeable'... into ART.

This was taken using my Blackbird fly 35mm TLR, using an agfa vista film and scanned with sprockets (no pp done). This shot of a bicycle on a railing was taken in Kensington Road in London and I loved this because of the bike being retro and it left a sense of juxtaposition because of the modern cars on the background. Topped it off with the retro-ish effect from the TLR and the shot is priceless. :)

Big Mac's stroller + light leaks = pure awesomeness from my Gakken Raida. I just love how the picture looks so warm. Whenever I stare at it, I feel like the reds are drawing me into the picture.

three reasons why this is my favorite:

1. my first time to shoot using my magical lca+ and provia iso 100 film
2. the sky is clear
3. i love flying!

AND! when i took this shot i was crying and my eyes are closed i just put my fisheye2 on trigger and boom.when the prints came im surprised with this shot di ko maalala na nakuhanan ko pala ito. I love this picture because, naaalala ko ang paghihirap ko sa girlfriend ko ngayon pagnakikita ko yung PUNO na to ,parang hey pare don't give up sabi nung puno. haha sooo un.. :-)

Camera used: Fisheye 2, 4 months old

Hello! I took this shot around 5:30 in the morning along Roxas Boulevard. The reason why I love this shot is because I am very fond of street lights and I admit sometimes I fail to take nice photos of it even using my Nikon D60 but when I used my Fisheye 2, with a Provia 100F, I was very happy with the outcome because I know taking shots of streets lights is very hard (having to be steady and all!) and knowing the fact that I used film is very overwhelming!! :) My effort in this photo was very worth it!! :) We all know that using film can be very exciting because we have to wait before seeing our shots that's why I can't help but be proud of this photo! :)

PS: No PP done and I just combined the 2 photos; here are the individual shots

I like this particular photo because:
1. taking pictures of kids is my favorite thing to do.
2. there is something about children holding hands while walking without slippers that makes me a bit sad and nostalgic. (pero di ako emo hehe! XD keso lang) just like f sionil said, there is beauty in melancholy. XD
3. i was really lucky for capturing this moment, i guess ^_^. I'm lucky too because it was the first time i used holga that time. ^^

Took this shot around 3pm, Pundaquit, Zambales.
The kid here taught me how to skimboard that left me with minor wounds.
After 1+hr, I never got to learn how to skimboard and all i got is this nice photo of the kid who was very patient with me.
It was all worth the time....

This is my dorm room at dusk. I love this photo because it reminds me of the time of the day which I miss most when I’m in my room back at home in Bacolod playing music and just lying down waiting for the sun to set. That feeling of relaxation and serenity. It's like rewinding life three years back; memories flash back again.

This is one of my favorite photos, because it's a photo of 'us'. And mainly because it has sentimental value on it. It's me, him, and our fascination with photographs. When I took this, we were just in front of my house, taking photos of everything that caught our attention. Tapos, bigla na lang namin napansin na magkaharap na pala kami. So we were standing there, trying to capture the moment. And then I had that idea na kuhanan ng picture yung the way we stood that very moment. Pagkatapos 'kong kuhanan yung paa namin, he looked at my eyes, and kissed me real quick. Then we both smiled. Wala lang. Ang saya eh. :)

This was taken just a few weeks ago using my first ever roll of film with my first ever film camera. I love it because it reminds me of my home away from home. This was taken outside our vacation home at Tagaytay and this photo will always serve as a reminder that despite the stresses from living at the city, I have a place that I can escape to :)

Boracay Island, Philippines.

I always loved the beach. It's my antidote from everyday's stressful rage. This picture is an example of why i love to go to the beach. Its actually the tip of a sandcastle :D I liked how it turned out, thanks to my FIsheye2 camera and its wide angled lens. I was in the island for three whole months for an internship. It was my first time to be away from my family for that long. This picture encapsulated all of the memories i had in that island :) Sa uulitin boracay! :D

Happy holidays everyone! :D

Taken using Supersampler (ISO 100)

These shots were "unwanted shots" beforehand since they were accidentally taken. Upon development, you can just see a sense of purity in the photos and it just made me think that any shot, even taken by mistake, can turn into something worthwhile.
